This Way and That Way

The month of August is no longer with us! R.I.P August its been trill! September is going to be a heck of a busy month! I am so not prepared for this! So bear with me if I take longer than usual to upload my posts! Between work and preparing the kids for school, Ugh! just let me live!

I was asked in my last comment post about my hair! Im wearing Malaysian remy in a body  wave texture! It can be straightened and curled! The hair is amazing! Its been washed 3 times and it always gains back the luster even after being washed! I have yet to color it but I am thinking of a redish brown color! Im wearing 1 pack of 20 and 2 packs of 24! What was I thinking? I love this  striped peplum top! Such a fun piece! And its a great transitioning piece into fall! BONUS! I completed the look with my teal strapped heels! Love the hint of unexpected green rather than a boring black heel!

Lately I've been experimenting with lipsticks! Ive always been a lipgloss girl, and always hated lipsticks but I think I'm having a change of heart! I've been rotating between my three fave lipsticks at the moment Ruby woo, Pink Nouveau and Up the Amp. I am currently on the hunt for something coral! Im thinking of getting Morange from MAC Not too sure how its gonna look on me but Im going to give it a test try!

SUNLIT

A Paid vacation would be the perfect way to end my summer! LOL Like someone said Summer should get a speeding Ticket! I've been spending my nights watching Love & hiphop and Single ladies *don't judge me* lol  ooh and how can I forget, my new obsession breaking bad! 

I've been wearing the heck out of this orange blazer all week! Obsessed much!! It just seems to go with everything, and that hardly ever happens in my closet! The shoes I bought at zara for Wait for it..... 9.99  It doesn't get any better than that! I love me a end of season zara sale! The necklace is a new addition to my jewellery collection!

READ BETWEEN THE LINES....

Hey everyone! Two more days till Friday! Hang in there!!! Anyways this was my outfit of the day! As I was extremely busy and on the go yesterday I opted for a comfy shoe! I must have changed 1000 times before heading out the door! You know the drill when every last piece of clothing you own ends up on the floor instead of the hanger! A mess you know that you will regret making later! sigh,,,Girl problems! 

Well this was the final result! Threw on my striped top and finished up the look with my cobalt blazer and leather shorts! Didn't accessorize much, just kept it real simple! Lately i've been lacking in the accessory department! *note to self: I must add that to my list* Hopefully a trip to Forever 21 will make up for that!

As you can tell, my hair has been revived again! Hallelujah!!!! If my hair's not on point so is my entire outfit! You know your hair is a big deal! And thats why we women will splurge when it comes to maintaining our mane! Ok i'll stop my ranting and let the pics do the talking!  :) 

My nails are looking hideous as of right now!!!

TROPICAL

Hey Peeps hope every one is having a great start to their week! It was a long weekend here in Canada, with lots of festivities going on in the city, I got to enjoy it and spend some quality time with the people that matter! Its been real hot these past few days and I've been living in my high wasted jean shorts, cropped tees and jordans! (yah I do have those days)

On to the outfit! For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you'd remember me posting a pic of these tropical themed pants! At first glance I knew that I had to have them! I had already premeditated at least 10 ways to wear it in my head! Which made me want to purchase them even more! I love the print, the fit and that they're the perfect pair of cropped pants! I can't wait to bring them on vacay and more excitedly into fall! I got a few blazers in mind that would go perfectly with these pants!

On another note, remember when I said that I would never be caught dead wearing peplum again? ...........I LIED  I decided I'd give this peplum top a try before completely giving up on this trend that I am so obsessed with! I can appreciate this top more than the last one because the construction is so much better, I'm happy that I could find one that works for me! I completed my look with my betsey Johnson bow shoes, which I have totally neglected! Sigh,,,, Too many shoes, dont get a chance to wear them all! Don't you hate 

that?

HOW WE WORE IT

After receiving a tweet from one of my dear followers, she brought to my attention of another blogger who wore the same peplum top that I wore in my post a few days ago! A brilliant idea came to me and I thought i'd do a post on how we wore it! We each have our own individual styles as bloggers, but I must say I enjoy seeing how others put things together and A lil inspiration is always good for the soul! 

I loved the fit and the way they styled the top! Style Pantry and Crimenes de la Moda both went for a Monochromatic look but added a few accent pieces that definitely stood out!

PURPLE & PEPLUM

I was very saddened with the fit of this top! The minty color and detailed studs around the neckline was what caught my attention! I stalked it for months online, finally purchasing at sale price and only to be disappointed! I love the peplum trend, it seemed flattering on every body type, it exudes chicness, and I've been wanting to own a peplum piece myself!  

 Yes I changed my hair! I was not here for that curly do! LOL nuh uh!!!

However I was so wrong! This trend didn't work for me at all, I came to conclusion that the peplum trend works good for people that are less hippier! The peplum is to give the illusion of hips. If you're more on the leaner side, then peplum is your best friend! However I've seen curvier and hippier women rock the peplum trend and it looks amazing on them! I'm not knocking the trend but I do know that I will not be caught dead in another peplum piece! But I will continue to swoon over other bloggers wearing it! 

I finished this look with my coloured jeans, nude t-straps and minimum jewellery! The days are getting hotter and dressing appropriately for the weather is key! Lately I've been wearing shorts and sheer tops to keep cool!

UNPREDICTABLE!

I swear there are not enough hours in a day! The weekend came and gone in a blink of an eye! I'm afraid to say looks like summer is almost over as well! I dont want it to end, but Fall is just as exciting as summer in my opinion! 

So I got tired of wearing my same old do, and thought that I would switch it up a bit! Or should I say a whole lot! I've never worn a curly weave before, and I don't know what possessed me either, but  I think it's an Epic Fail! LOL I took to twitter saturday morning asking my followers if it was a YaY or NaY, Although most of them said YaY I still felt out of my element! I could never get used to this, its just not me! However I will keep it in until it has done it's time and go back to my regular do, until I can think of something else to do! 

I am loving all things colourful and patterned right now! Just like these shorts. They make any outfit come alive, and can be worn with bright colours to neutrals! I jazzed up my outfit with these strappy heels which I loooove! I've been wearing them like they're my only pair! I wore the top backwards, because I loved how the buttons looked at the front rather than in the back but it worked against my favor giving it an unflattering look!

Yes I'm back! Been gone for a minute, but that's how it goes sometimes, you cant predict the months workload, instead you just have to take it with a grain of salt!

Anyways, these pics are a bit old, just something to leave with you until I get a chance to editing the newer stuff! 

I'm also getting ready for a mini vacation, to NYC! Finally! I can't wait, I'm already packed and we're not due to leave for another 2 weeks! With that said I'm praying that these two weeks fly's by! I love my city but it's time for a change of scenery!
