MY GO TO SKIRT!!

For those that have been following me for a while, will definitely remember this skirt.  Four years later and I am still kicking myself for not buying it in black. It's such a great fit, and to top it off it has pockets. On another note Im pretty sure you are getting tired of seeing these boots. This is another example of a great buy. Ive worn these boots with almost everything in my wardrobe. They are my fave go to boots, and I plan on wearing them until the heel falls off... lol literally

In the past year I've learnt to do MORE quality shopping and LESS quantity shopping. My mentality then vs now? I always thought well $100 bucks can get me at least 5 pieces of clothing. which in the long run doesn't alway last (poor quality). I get one and two wears.. if that, call it a day, and move on to the next item.

However, when you shop quality pieces, they will last as long as you'd like them to. This is actually a great way to add staple and classic pieces to your wardrobe. Although you might pay more than you wanted to spend, it's worth it in the end.

SPLURGING: Is in a league of its own, and no one seems to need any help doing that! lol However when splurging, always make sure its something worth splurging on because once you've spent that money and worn the item theres no turning back.

Hope everyone is shopping these amazing BlackFriday deals. Remember to shop smart.

Rustic Vibes

Not sure how to convert your summer pieces to fall?  Its pretty easy. Actually a lot easier than you think.
Layering is key. I also love texture mixing. Take for example this pleated pants, one of my favourite summer pieces. I didn't do much layering with this look as I didn't think it was needed. However I did layer with a cropped motto jacket and threw on a hat. That's called layering to a minimum.

The hat and Jacket instantly gave these summer pants a fall vibe. To take this look up a notch I could have worn booties and perhaps an oversized scarf, but that was not the look I was going for.

While I am still trying to master the art of layering, some pieces are lot easier to layer than others. This was an easy look, however layering more than 5-6 pieces all at once can be a challenge for me. Layering and making this process look flawless requires a well trained eye. I will be trying this out in the next couple weeks and will update you guys with a few posts on how I did.

Whats your thoughts on layering?
Lets talk about it.. drop a few lines below in the comments.

Rojo (Red)

Taking a much needed break from heels and opting for comfort instead. If you're into fashion then you know by now the plaid trend has taken the fashion industry by storm. Its everywhere. I went for a more chill and laid back look, however what I love about this set is I can wear it with heels, sneakers and even as separates. Which is a BONUS in my book.

Can't believe how FAST the year is coming to an end, It feels like just yesterday we were welcoming 2017, and in a blink of an eye the year is pretty much OVER.  With just one more month to go, New Years resolutions are already in gear.. I personally don't care for a new year resolution, as I do not like to put a limit or label on things, however I will continue to set goals for my self and work hard until Im where I wanna be.

Looking for a Red Coat to ado your collection this winter? J.crew has some amazing deals. Personally I wait for black Friday deals to snag up anything with a pricey tag.
