NOIR

I must address something very quickly, I would appreciate if people would STOP posting their ads on my blog! SPAM has taken over my comment box and I don't appreciate it! Giveaway links are fine as well as the link to your blog but PLEASE NO ADS! Don't let me have to get evil! I come in peace!

Now with that said,Hey luvs, God heard and answered my prayers cause the weekend couldn't have came fast enough! I'm going to relax this weekend and surf the net for some delish Christmas recipes! I'm also going to teach my self how to mix drinks! Can't entertain if my bar-tending skills are not up to par! I want something that both the men and ladies can enjoy! Like a cocktail! Please feel free to email me with any delicious holiday recipes as well as drinks!
Today I wore all black! Just one of those days when nothing seems to make the cut, but good ole black has never failed me yet! My bff couldn't stop laughing when she seen me today, Her exact words, "girl you look like you are about to do a drive by dressed up in all black! " Bwahahahaha.... uh and who does drive by's dressed up in tights, wedged heels and a skirt so tight I can barely walk? Yah she's as crazy as they come! I know I've been killing those booties but they're really the only shoes that I wear! With winter here, my heels has to take a back seat for now!
What I'm wearing: Bcbg: blazer, skirt, F21: accessories, H&M: tights, Nine West: bag, Zigi: booties
 xoxo Ty
Anyways Now for Friday's Hot Topic:

HOT TOPIC

I'm sure every one is familiar with the show "GIRLFRIENDS" The dynamic four I called them! Tony the materialistic one, Lynn the sex addict, Mya the family girl, and Joan the big career woman but never any luck in the Men department! They were by far TV's best BFF's They had a love, hate relationship with each other, fought like sisters, but they were always real in the end! And that's what kept them stuck together like glue! Another one of my old time faves "Sex and the City"

My Question: Do you think it's possible to have a relationship with a group of women like the girlfriends did? or is it just something that happens in TV world? And if yes how many of you come from a group of girlfriends where trust, envy, jealousy, and bad talking each other is not an issue?

My Answer: I always envied the TV relationships that I seen on most TV shows! It must be nice to have a group of ladies achieving the same things together, uplifting each other and most of all confiding in each other without the "hate" Me personally I never had that and although at 26 years old I'm not short of friends, I would still love to know how it feels to belong to such a group of friends, as stupid as it may sound. I've been there in my younger days and female friends always brought drama! It never seemed to work out! Maybe that explained the reason for me hanging out with strictly guys in my younger days! #drama free
Please tell me that I'm not the only one who feels this way, and if so how stupid do I feel right now? LOL

  1. Lol @ don't make me get evil, get'em girl!
I love your tights and wedges.

I have always been envious of close knit girlfriend circles, I have have several close friends and BFFs but I don't have that clique of women that all mesh together. I find it hard to make friends as I get older, especially with black woman. We really can be the worst to each other for no dang reason.

  2. Loving the tights and skirt. I cherish the relationship that I have with my girls, were a foursome group as well and have all been friends since Jr. High School.

  3. You look fab! I wish I had a circle of girlfriends like tv, but in my opinion true friends are hard to come by:-)

  4. Love your look and your hair looks FAB! I am blessed to have a large group of girlfriends! I have the same friend since JR High and added more in HS and College! We have been through everything together. I have about 10 besties! We are still tight and don't really have any big fights. So it can happen I know they would all say the same. Oh, if you read my blog you will see that one of them sent me some Louboutins they found in a thrift store!

  5. You can never go wrong with all black! I almost bought the same wedges at Payless yesterday but put them back..seeing this, I think I'm going back today! lol

I'm lucky to have a really close group of 8 girls and I love it..we can argue fight tell each other how we really feel, talk it out then get back to being besties.

  6. LOVE the outfit!!! I definitely think that big groups of friends like that don't come too often in black world. Sometimes I wish I had a tight knit circle of friends but most times Im glad to be a loner...less drama and less people in my business

  7. Lovely style as always Ty! That blazer is to die for! I have to admit I do have those girlfriends (it's 3 of us). We uplift each other and in the last 10 yrs there has been one 2 "situations" between us. But when you are that close sometimes feelings get hurt and you get mad at the people you love. But yes I'm so lucky and blessed to have that close knit friendship.

  9. Luv the black and blue combo dear, and I feel that u can have friends like that only if you all are some what on the same level, because so many times people/woman can become jealous if you are the successful one ,the married one, the pretty one etc... I've had my share of friends and with my past experiences I'm not too sure anymore ..I'm always the friend who cares too much ,and it becomes too draining sometimes. I think it's easier to keep a marriage together these days than a friendship.

  10. The blazer is really, really nice.

Meanwhile, I think it's very possible to maintain a girlfriends relationship similar to that of "Girlfriends" and "Sex and the City".

  11. i agree with the above , its possible to have a group of great women as friends. The the important thing to remember is love attracts love, drama attracts drama.LOVE the black as well.

  13. My friends and I are a group of five and wa are really great together. like really great together- obvz the there are those "moments" but we all just laugh about it in the end. But you know the down side about having friends that great is that nobody else ever measures up they are only just "that other friend."

  14. Hey! Great blazer! I have some BFFs! I Love them, respect them, and we motivate and console one another! Someone asked me how is it that you have so many female friends?! I guess it worked out that way that throughout life I have kept the good and left the bad!

  17. Love your outfit! Fly! Let's see. I have two best friends. We've been friends for almost 25 years. We've had our ups and downs, which happens between women, but you gotta know how to bounce back from that. I also have about five other friends, that I've been knowing for about 15 years, and we still get along and go out. So yes, it's possible to have good friendships!

  19. Love your outfit...and fortunately I have been friends with a close knit group of girls since high school (so almost 10 years now). We're all successful (teacher, social worker, dental student, med student)and we keep each other grounded and sane.

  20. Love the black on black ensemble! XO

  21. Nope, I feel the same way as you which is why I really loved Girlfriends and Sex and the City. The companionship these women had would get me through anything if I had such a tight close friend circle. They were all different but each one stylish and successful. Alas I can only get that through tv land. Maybe some girls have it but I don't :( Anyhoo...loving the tights and shoes with this outfit!! Thanks for the comment on my blog!! Would you like to follow each other?

  22. wow the first pic is amazing, so dynamic, it's looks like one from a fashion magazine!

About the topic: i think that true friendship is hard to find because rarely we can be totally sincere with people, be truly ourself, have no competition. I think that those girls in tv shows have something very special and so hard to replicate: your bestfriends are even bestfriends to each other and the all live near by

  23. I've been friends with a group of girls for about 10 years. We're just 3 and we've never had any quarrel related to boys or backmouthing. Sure 2 people may talk about the 3rd, but it always ends up in an intervention. They are my besties and are the only ones i trust (outside myself) to say whatever. It's very freeing

  25. First of all I love your outfit! If that's what one wears to do a drive by, you are definitely killin' 'em!

And as for your question, I definitely don't think that is just something you see on TV. My four best-est friends, I met in college and believe it or not our relationships resemble those on Girlfriends/Sex and The City. We even joke about who would be who in the group based on those shows ;)

  32. Its very possible to have friends like the "girlfriends". I personally think it has to do with how long you know each other. I keep a very small circle and Ive known them for over 8 years +. When we fight its a sisterly fight and since we've known each other for so long, we already know what pisses each other off. Most importantly our friendship is drama-free!
Hopefully you'll be able to find friends that you can trust and friends that support you!
    BTW...loved the outfit:)

  33. Better late than never right? My girls and I have been goibg hard since pre-school, mixed other chicks in and mesh very well. We do trips both planned together and crashed. It's,safe to say no competition because we are all successful & secure in being who we are.

  34. Men/boys are upfront and that is y i prefer them being my mates to women who like me are quite dramatic, i always wish for girlfriends and hope i get some real ones soon, it would be so much better to have support and some girly fun. Love your blog, it ireally inspiring
