PURPLE & PEPLUM


I was very saddened with the fit of this top! The minty color and detailed studs around the neckline was what caught my attention! I stalked it for months online, finally purchasing at sale price and only to be disappointed! I love the peplum trend, it seemed flattering on every body type, it exudes chicness, and I've been wanting to own a peplum piece myself!  


 Yes I changed my hair! I was not here for that curly do! LOL nuh uh!!!

Wearing; Zara top, F21 jeans, VV thrifted belt, LV bag, Aldo heels, MAC Up the Amp lipstick

However I was so wrong! This trend didn't work for me at all, I came to conclusion that the peplum trend works good for people that are less hippier! The peplum is to give the illusion of hips. If you're more on the leaner side, then peplum is your best friend! However I've seen curvier and hippier women rock the peplum trend and it looks amazing on them! I'm not knocking the trend but I do know that I will not be caught dead in another peplum piece! But I will continue to swoon over other bloggers wearing it! 

I finished this look with my coloured jeans, nude t-straps and minimum jewellery! The days are getting hotter and dressing appropriately for the weather is key! Lately I've been wearing shorts and sheer tops to keep cool!

      Thanks lala but I actually had to fold the peplum part to make it shorter, maybe thats why the fit appears to be spot on however its really not! But oh well! Thanks for the love babe!

    Girl, what are you talking about? This top looks cute on you. I'm not sure if you wanted it to be a bit more fitted but regardless, I think it looks great and the color is fabulous on you.

    I am a lot thicker than you...lol...and I have rocked the peplum myself. Maybe you could try it without the pleats? I find the plain, cotton or rayon versions to be more flattering for myself. Also, LOVE the entire outfit. The heels are fabulous!

      You guys think I'm trippin huh? No any tighter and I would pop right out of it! lol but the fit really didn't do it for me! But like you said maybe the cotton or rayon versions maybe would be more flattering for my body type! so with that in mind I will try looking for one before I completely give up on peplum!       Now you think i'm loosing my mind too? LOL girl i'm tellin you the fit is not right! But you are right about one thing Asos just might be the place for the perfect peplum piece! I've seen a few bloggers wear the Asos version and its so flattering on! I guess i'm back on a hunt!

    you're amazing honey this look is to die for the colors are perfection and the fit incredible. I know I owe you my diet and exercise plan but girl I've been doing soooo terrible lately that Im no inspiration to anyone right now !! but when Im good I follow a low carb diet and 2days of upper body weights with 1hr of cardio and the other 2 days leg weights and an hour of cardio also!! hope this info helps !!

    I got this same top : and complained bitterly about it !I guess we are on the same page concerning the fit! If Zara had only made the zip at the back longer! Getting in and out of it takes time,and that fit again ! Urrrrggghhh ! Peplum really is nice though, you can always get another one *wink*
