Time for Friday's

  HOT TOPIC

So I recently seen this topic on the Fashion Bomb and I thought it was a great conversation starter!

Question: a) How much is too much to spend on an outfit? and  b) What's the most would you spend on an outfit?

My answer: Well personally my weakness is shoes, I splurge a  great amount on shoes, but when it comes to my outfits it has to be something that I really really like to put down crazy money on it! If its something I know that I can find somewhere else for a fraction of the price, then why drop hundreds  on it?  (I'm sorry I'm not a celebrity, I do look at the price tag)  But then again Quality is a big thing in my books. Once upon a time I would drop hundreds ($400) on my outfit *covers face* but now I've learnt the beauty of thrifting, and shopping for better deals, and of course there are times when I'll just buy something because I really want it!

  2. It's hard not to spend a large amount on clothes as fashion lover and supporter . I'm learning to be a better shopper. I rather find a deal on authentic piece the buy a cheaper version. Though I believe firmly in mixing and matching highs and lows. I spent $2,800 on a complete outfit though it was the shoes and bag that did the damage. I try not to limit myself by price but I'm splurging less and looking out for a deal more .

  3. You had me at hello with those shoes.
I can't say there should be a price tag on a look but I can tell when people are trying too hard.

I cringe when I see someone rocking a LV belt, Pants, top and jacket and shoes. That means you are going for the label whore look.

I am guilty of dropping $200 on a dress (like at high ass Anthropologie...though I love them so)...but that was before I started thrift shopping.

I realized that when I was paying that much for an item, it was because I didn't want to see someone wearing the same things I wore...Thrift clothes now do that for me.

I do believe investing in certain things. If I can justify buying some wide leg DVF pants (bc I want some still)...then I will get it. An item MUST be able to be remixed in my closet over and over again for me to pay some big money for it.

SHoes...I will pay for a good shoe though.

  7. You look super cute loving the top and the peek a boo leopard bra....
I have dresses in my closet that cost me a stack but everyone is different and their means are different. It truly just depends on you as a person. Now that I run a business I just dont spulrge like I use. I prolly pick two designer shoes a season and get things here and their. But when I had that good job I was kicking it in Barney's getting new ish daily like it was going out of style... lol

  14. Love love love! I am all about some leopard print or animal print in general. As far as splurging on clothing, I usually spend big on shoes and purses. If it is an item that I really want I will pay retail, but other than that I wait for sales. Love your blog by the way and your sense of style!
